Barbara and I consider it a great privilege to Pastor Sunnyvale. After 36 years in the ministry it is nice to be back in our home area. The Lord has been good to us by using us in many different area's. After serving in the U.S. Army communication in 68-69 I was employed by the Highway Patrol in Communications 1970-75. Received an Associates degree in communications from Missouri College during that time. Also rededicated my life to the Lord and answered the call to Preach. Studied with extension courses from Oakland City University. After Pastoring the Second General Baptist Church in Malden Dec. 1974 - Oct 1978 I answered the call as Pastor of West Side Church in St. Ann. I served there from 1978 to January 7, 2007. What great blessings came my way during those years. Attended Brookes Bible School, Pillsbury Insitute of Applied Christianity (now Pillsbury College and Seminary) and Covenant Theological Seminary. I have a bachelor in Biblical Studies in the New Testament; a Master of Ministry in Biblical Counseling and an Honorary Doctrate of Divinity all through Pillsbury. I'm somewhat hesitant to put all of that on here because it is past. I'm excited about serving the Lord and Sunnyvale Church today. If you don't have a Church home I hope you will come and visit us at least 3 times. Don't visit just once and make your determination about us or anywhere. All of us can have a bad day now and then. Visit us once and often and then let the Lord lead you.
To address the topic of STAFF it is mainly all volunteer. Don't take that lightly because most of these are professional people that the Lord has gifted and are willing to serve him in various capacities.
